Impounded Vehicles
In the event your vehicle has been impounded by a police department,
the following is a general guideline of the necessary paperwork you will need
in order to claim your vehicle from Louie's Towing. The information listed
below is what Louie's requires for you to obtain your vehicle if it has
been impounded.
To release a vehicle you will need the following:
- You must go to the Mt. Morris Township Police Department during business
hours and provide proof of ownership for the vehicle.
- $200.00 cash impound fee must be paid at the police department
- A valid drivers license or government issued photo identification card such as a passport
- Military ID, or state issued ID card
- Proof of ownership such as vehicle title or vehicle registration
- Proof of valid insurance is needed to drive the vehicle off
- All fees at Louie's Towing must be paid by cash or credit card
- If the vehicle requires a "release form" from the police
department or a "hold" has been placed on the vehicle by a law enforcement
agency, you MUST obtain a release from that agency
before the vehicle can be released.
